During my career prior to becoming a counsellor I gained many years experience supervising the client work of support workers and team leaders in social care services. This provided me with a good grounding in working alongside helping professionals, supporting them in reflecting on their work and improving their practice. As manager of the Counselling for Carers service I was responsible for the managerial supervision of counsellors, which inevitably involved a significant degree of informal clinical supervision.
I hold a diploma in Person Centred supervision.
Currently I supervise both counsellors working in private practice and a number of volunteer counsellors employed by Counselling for Carers, the Intercom Trust and the Margaret Jackson Centre. I also provide non-managerial supervision to advocacy and helpline staff of the Intercom Trust and South West Grid for Learning.

My charge for group supervision is negotiable - please contact me to discuss the requirements of your group.
